Hilton | Photo Booth | February 25, 2011 | TLC’s Four Weddings
We were hired by Kathiria for a Photo Booth back in October and she mentioned she might be a contestant on a little tv show lol during our first meeting at the Hilton with the Hilton coordinator Bob Gnagey
Fast forward to February 20, 2011, where we run into Bob again during the Perona Farms Bridal Show by Elegant Bridal, who informs us that Kathiria's wedding will indeed be on the show.
Our Wedding Model Photo Booth has finally found its way onto national television in the
Watch Four Weddings on TLC - Fridays at 10pm
form of TLC's hit TV Show "Four Weddings" to be aired in mid May (stay tuned). Our Photo Booth could not be happier.
Bob and the Hilton had a spot pre-set for us with ample room and a table, along with a great load in area and the ability to keep our vehicle in the loading dock area throughout the event.
We had a great time celebrating with Kathiria & Eri on February 25, 2011 at the Hilton Garden Inn in Rockaway, NJ. Kathiria was one of four brides competing for a free honeymoon. The concept behind the show is each bride attends each others wedding and critiques each others uniqueness.
What could be more unique then a Photo Booth? Lol.
The guests were slow to start the party as there were camera crews around. Not that it interfered in the physical sense but more in a psychological way. However once the guests discovered the Photo Booth, there was no stopping them and we ended up with a nice full Wedding Scrapbook of all guests which make for a great keepsake for Kathiria & Eri.
As for the Televised aspect of the night, there was a table with 3 other brides and their guests ( maid of honors?) that the cameras focused on and consisted mostly of interviewing them as a group. They would be pulled away for interviews individually as well.
At different moments, the 3 brides were asked to take part in the side activities, such as dancing for a bit, writing in the guestbooks, seeing the cake, and last but not least .....going in the Photo Booth (we let them write a note together to Kathiria & Eri which went into the last page of their scrapbook)
All in all it was a fun unique night for us and we hope this gets the word out to more brides and grooms about the fun of a Photo Booth at a Wedding
Congratulations Kathiria & Eri

Richfield Regency | Wedding Photobooth | 2/20/2011
Our Wedding Model Photo Booth made it's way to the Richfield Regency for the Wedding of Maneen & Christopher on February 20, 2011.
The Venue didn't have a place set for the Photobooth so sometimes had to be moved to compensate and we were setup close to chandeliers which was a risk. This gave us very little room to work with and the overall service gets compensated a bit as guests start to crowd around.
I wasn't personally on the event long enough to comment on the food or overall staff but not having a decent spot preset for the Photobooth is a big negative towards the venue.
We hope for better consideration next time. In the end, the service went as good as it can and the bride & groom were happy. Congratulations Maneen & Chris and thank you for letting us take part in your special day.

The Villa at Mountain Lakes | Frungillo Caterers | New Jersey Bride | Roman Jewelers | Marah & James 2/12/2011 | Wedding Photo Booth

The Villa at Mountain Lakes
On February 12th, 2011 our Wedding Model Photo Booth sent us to The Villa at Mountain Lakes. Roman Jewelers along with New Jersey Bride Magazine sponsored a contest in which one lucky Bride & Groom got to enjoy a FREE all expenses paid Wedding at The Villa at Mountain Lakes, one of five Wedding venues owned by Robert and Jerry Frungillo of TLC's Masters of Reception.
The lucky winners were Marah Winkler and James Silvestri. Marah and Jimmy tirelessly worked with the Special Olympics of New Jersey on raising funds and increasing awareness for the charity. They successfully completed both goals by raising $20,571 for the charity, and promoting Special Olympics on the TV and Radio.

Marah & Jimmy Silvestri in their Wedding Photo Booth
We couldn't think of a more deserving couple and were honored to be invited to share in their special day. Joelle at Frungillo Caterers and the Villa always do a fantastic job and made sure we had a nice open area for the Photobooth.
The scenery and grounds at the Villa is well done. The atmosphere was made perfect by Candice and Stephanie of The Finishing Touch who did a great job with the centerpieces, decor and flowers.
Their was a seperate room for Vendor meals which the Photographers, DJ, Band and ourselves got to eat. This is always a huge plus as being fed is appreciated and not always happens.
Knowing that Marah & James raised funds for the Special Olympics and that their Wedding took place on none other than Valentines Day weekend....we at Scott Roth Events did our best to incorporate those aspects into the Wedding Scrapbook we made for them and the end result was incredible.

Photo Booth Inserts
Scott Roth Events also provided Photo Booth Frames with Custom Inserts.
Thank you for stopping by and stay tuned as we announce the Winners of our own Valentines Day FREE Wedding Model Photo Booth contest in which a free Photobooth is provided for the Bride & Groom whose story behind their "I Do's" best represent what a strong relationship is built upon.

Lake Pearl Luciano’s | Wrentham, MA | Wedding Photo Booth 1/8/11
We can't say enough about Lake Pearl Luciano's. The area is magestic overlooking the beautiful Lake Pearl scenery which allows for some great photography.....even in the Winter Snow.
On January 8, 2011, our Wedding PhotoBooth Model sent us back to Lake Pearl Luciano's in Wrentham, MA in celebration of Micaela Morris and Patrick Condon. We have been to Lake Pearl 3 times in 2010 and 2011 seems to be an even more popular year for us at this venue.
The staff of Pat White, Paula Tornabene and company are always so professional and helpful when needed. Our booth had a nice easy open area, our tables and chairs were brought to us relatively quickly after asking, we were near plenty of power and even got fed.
The load-in is usually relatively easy no matter which room you are to setup in. The venue allows for small things to be brought through the front door and there is an open alley area that leads to further back rooms.
The event itself went really smooth albeit a slow start. The DJ didn't seem to energetic in getting the people out of their seats and out n about. However once people got comfortable the booth became a popular attraction as usual. The guests were rowdy without being obnoxious or overly drunk to the point of knocking any equipment over. Good thing....as there were some kids on hand at this event.
All in All:
- THE VIEW: Magnificent. A courtyard area with small fountains, a lake, great decor.....a top notch venue as far photographic moments are concerned. .....A+
- THE STAFF: Always helpful .....A
- THE LOAD IN: Relatively easy. The allowance to bring stuff through the front door if needed is a huge plus as some managers are very against this practice..........B
- THE FOOD: Even though we got to ours late cause we were so busy.....the food was superb. The shrimp was some of the best shrimp Ive ever tasted. The Filet Mignon was good even cold. lol ..........A
Thank you for stopping by and stay tuned as we review the Doubletree in Tinton Falls, NJ next week as our Photo Favors will send us there on January 22nd.

A Toast To A Great 2010
What a banner year this was for Scott Roth Events. We went from doing 90 events in 2009 to over 150 events in 2010 and 2011 looks to be another year of solid growth. We have invested in additional Wedding Photo Booth equipment as well as added a second Arcade Photo Booth to our collection and Flip Books is starting to become another increasingly popular activity at weddings and private affairs this year.
For the second year in a row we have had the privilege of doing the holiday party for EMI Music. We have also had the opportunity to provide Green Screen Photos for Promotion In Motion at the 2010 Sweet & Snacks Expo in Chicago, IL. To top it off, we recently got to help Rohan Marley and Lauryn Hill celebrate their daughter Seleh's 12th birthday.
2010 also saw an increase in events from personal referrals. We at SRE strongly believe in good ol' word of mouth advertising and promotion. It's because of such strong beliefs that SRE sends out thank you $10 gift cards during the holidays to every past client who enjoyed our services enough to let someone know...someone who in turn became clients themselves.
Thank you to everyone who helped make SRE shine this year - Lindsay McCartney, Paul Krasulja & Monique, Keith & Dana Catapano, Kevin & Kelly Donohue, Marcy & Charlie Richardson, Tim Fahy, Shannon McCartney, Kylene Donohue, Jorge at Mainsource Djs, Alida at Juliet Events, Raul & Keops at Party Factor, Diane at Best Wedding NJ, Brenda Rivera at Creations By Brenda, Julie Moya, Stefanie Polanscak and all the wonderful Newlyweds
Happy New Year ![]()

The Bethwood | Totowa, NJ | Photo Booth Rental 11/24/2010
On Novelmber 24, 2010 our Wedding Photo Booth found it's way to the Bethwood in Totowa, NJ in celebration of Casey's Sweet 16. The Bethwood is one of the most popular Wedding and Event catering halls in all of New Jersey. It hosts many bridal shows through out the year as well as up to 5 weddings every weekend with its many different sized ballrooms available.
The views are amazing. Inside the venue you feel you are in a resort like hotel atmosphere with its long decorated hallways, and overall decor. The outside boasts some decent views of the area at night, especially from the 2nd and 3rd floors. The area around in Christmas and Winter is probably magestic.
The staff are always helpful and easy to get along with. The maitre'd made sure he came to our table to let us know we can eat. The staff also brought us silverware without asking. The food was incredible. Definitely recommend the shrimp dish we had here.
The load-in was the only nic in otherwise perfect 10 A+ venue being that there is a small loading door to the right of the building and a small elevator. If the ballroom you are hired to entertain in is on the far left of the building, it can be a time consuming process.
All in all:
- The View: B+ in Summer/Spring and an A if you are having a Fall/Winter event.
- The Staff: A+ for providing food without having to ask and bringing a table for our setup rather quickly and efficiently.
- The Load-In: It was a small elevator on one side and with 5 Events per weekend, it could be a nightmare if not planned ahead of time. A D-
- The Food: What we had was great
A+
Thank you for stopping by.

Congregation Ohr Torah – Photo Favors | Jordan’s Bat Mitzvah – 11/7/2010
On November 7, 2010 our Mitzvah Photo Favors sent us to Congregation Ohr Torah in North Woodmere, NY if you are in that area and Valley Stream, NY if you are on GPS or Google Maps. This could be a nightmare for vendors looking for directions to the place without a GPS. This thankfully is the only real downside of the location. The venue is extremely popular Bar and Bat Mitzvah Venue.....mostly being that it is part of a temple so it has its own in-house clientel.
Congregation Ohr Torah has a very cool staff for the most part though they dont appear to outgoing they do seem friendly.
The load-in is relatively easy with a ramp and side door access. The unload is into a hallway. If you are a DJ or setting up in the lobby or main ballroom, its a bit of a trip but no obstacles and not too hard. If you are doing Photo Favors or Sports Game Rentals, there is a good chance you are going into the cocktail hour room area and therefore its an easy unload right into the room.
Parking is relatively easy to find on the street. The venue is a bit off Sunrise Highway / Route 27 with a ton of stores nearby such as Staples, Target, etc. This is good cause if you ever need to send a staff person out to get some last minute items that may have gotten left behind (such as Batteries lol) .......there are local options easy to find.
It's rare at Mitzvah's to get fed so don't to eat during your night. This of course is always a strike against the venue. I do understand that they leave it up to the client to decide but this shouldnt always be the case. The vendors help sell the venue and the overall experience a client has at such a venue (such as with blogs like this, etc) and should always make dinners for the vendors there.
All in all:
- The View: The inside ballrooms are small but decent. There are nice chandeliers in the enterance. Its upscale but definitely not that unique. The area outside the venue is standard suburbia. Overall I give it a C
- The Staff: They seem nice but not really engaging or outgoing from my experiences there. Also a C
- The Load-In: Relatively easy with a nice easy ramp and easy to find parking. .... A
- The Food: N/A

Rouge Tomate | New York, NY | Bat Mitzvah 11/6/10
This past weekend our Wedding Photo Booth, Green Screen Photo Favors and our Foosball Table sent us to Rouge Tomate in New York, NY for Sashie's Bat Mitzvah. This venue is the cream of the crop for New York venues.
Located on the upper east side, the area is not as busy as other sections of New York City so the we were able to find street parking right near the venue. There is a service entrance to the left of the main entrance which allowed for easy access to the downstairs area of the venue, which is where our setup took place.
We did two meetings ahead of time with our clients who were planning their first Bat Mitzvah party for their family and took extra time and care to make sure every area of the event ran smooth. That the venue knew the vendors and vice versa. Although all parents take this approach at heart, they don't always take this approach in action.
A strike goes against the venue for the service elevator not being in service causing our staff to load through stairwells......this can be disastrous if unexpected and not planned for but these are reasons why we try to be 2+ hours early.
Chris Crocco, who was the Event Manager on behalf of Rouge Tomate
was very accomodating at the start of the event to make sure we were good to go. He also was ok with the staff taking part in the photo opportunities providing it didn't take them away from their duties. This is important and plays into the personality of the event manager. An uptight Event Manager over these seemingly small things can symbol an uptight manager in other areas, which could mean an uncomfortable catering staff on the event.
The atmosphere of Rouge Tomate itself is very upscale chic with a lush red feel from the lighting to the walls to the drapery. The color theme for Sashie's Bat Mitzvah was Purple and Lavender which the decorator added plush pillows for the furniture and flowers among other additions that blended well with the red tones around the room.
The food was some of the best basic food I've ever personally had....and that was just from the kids buffet. It was standard burgers and fries like other venue kids buffets for mitzvahs but being that these were made in-house, it was to die for. A+ in the food category.
The DJ was Jarrell Entertainment whose style took some getting used to as it was New York nightlife style and not typical Bar/Bat Mitzvah style dj'ing. They definitely took risks and some of the songs selected wouldn't necessarily be the first choice for most mitzvah families but they did do a great job and kept the kids dancing as if they were in a nightclub.
Sashie chose not to do a formal introduction or candle-lighting and with that said, DJ Ray might have just been the right infusion this party needed to keep the kids entertained the entire 4+ hours of the party......us Photo Favor guys can only do so much
In retrospect they were a perfect fit.
All in all :
- THE VIEW: Rouge Tomate is located in the upper east side which boasts central park horse and carriage, and f.a.o. schwarz is a block away which adds to the feeling of the venue but you cant really see much beyond the next building from inside the venue, but the atmosphere is lush romantic and upscale. There are three huge flower towers that add to the rooms look and stand out. B
- THE STAFF: The staff at Rouge Tomate were clean cut and professional and enjoyed our service A
- THE LOAD-IN: The load would've been a breeze had it not been for the service elevator being out of service. The on-street parking available does bump Rouge up to a B. With elevator service and the parking available to boot, they would've been an A B
- THE FOOD: For some odd reason, every Wedding we do...there is a vendor table setup for us whether its a buffet or plate dinner. Every Mitzvah we do (or any vendor does) its a grab if you can situation. Luckily we were able to grab some and it was well worth it. B
Thank you for stopping by and reading our Vendor Reviews from the Vendors View of Rouge Tomate in New York, NY.
